What is a magic truffle?
Magic truffles are the sclerotia of certain Psilocybe species: compact masses of mycelium that grow below the surface. They are not the same as mushrooms. Truffles in Dutch shops are usually sold under trade names; these are not botanical names.
What is the legal status?
Since 1 December 2008, fresh psilocybin mushrooms have been on the list of the Dutch Opium Act. Sclerotia (truffles) are not on that list. Outside the Netherlands the rules are different, and in many countries these products are prohibited. For that reason we deliver only to addresses in the Netherlands.
